| 145th Anniversary Reenactment of the Battle of First Manassas, Virginia - July 2006 Welcome to our website! The Carolina Fifes & Drums is an historical, educational non-profit organization formed to preserve authentic martial fife and drum music, or "Field Music," specifically of the American Civil War era. We strive to uphold one of the best musical impressions in the hobby of Civil War reenacting, authentic in the tunes we play and our military decorum. Currently, our ranks hold fifers and drummers from the 26th NC and 25th NC Regiments, reenactment groups, all males ranging in age from twenties to sixties. Although not always under the same name, our group has been performing fife & drum music at reenactments and living history events throughout the eastern United States for over twenty-five years. | |
