Fort George Muster
August 13-15, 2010 (Fri-Sun) - Ontario, Canada

Time: Departure @ 7am from Town Hall to Schenectady
Location: Fort George Historic Site
Host: Peter Alexander

Instructions:

The bus will be stopping at two locations:

  • Pickup at the Bethlehem Town Hall at 7am.

  • Pickup at the Home Depot in Schenectady (Cambridge Rd.) afterwards.

  • VV Playlist 2010

Remember, we will still each need to bring a birth certificate with a raised seal (not a photocopy) AND either a passport or passport card (see below). We will be back home between 11pm and midnight on Sunday, August 15 (possibly later if there is a huge delay at customs). Our cars can be left at the Town Hall and Home Depot (end of the lot).

    What You'll Need:

    (Detailed Printable Checklist)

  • Bring all uniform parts, two pairs of VV socks if available, two white shirts if possible, fife or drum, sling, sticks, sleeping bag.

  • There are showers, so bring a change of clothing, toiletries and a towel.

  • Friday we will have a road stop and/or meal at the falls around 6pm or later and Sunday evening road stop dinner, so bring money for that.

  • All other meals will be provided at the Fort, starting with breakfast lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday (sorry, no "second breakfast", "elevensees", or "luncheon" per say).

  • We usually sleep on wooden bunk beds with a cushion, so bring a pillow and a sleeping bag. There is a chance that there will not be enough cushions for everyone this year, so you may want to bring an air mattress this time (or ruff it, if your tuff).

  • The bus also has a VCR and DVD player and we will be voting on which movies to play for the trip, so bring some good "flicks".
